There’s no way we aren’t merging. This doesn’t make sense otherwise.

Mediator stopped the session early as he thought it would be “unproductive” to continue.

I agree with others; either something is afoot or this management team is completely blowing us off and not taking any of this seriously.

Given the history, I’m inclined to lean with the latter conclusion…

They are in for a rude awakening if that’s the case!

Maybe, but it will be a new experience for them. I’m betting they go with what worked for them in the past…

I'm not so sure. They aren't stupid and they undoubtedly know that they have to at least provide the mediator with the illusion of progress to keep the stall tactics going. Showing up with nothing, leading him to take the somewhat extraordinary measure of canceling the rest of the session, completely blows the strategy for them.

Merger is possible, but I dont think that’s what’s going on. I think management is just so arrogant and out of touch with reality they think they can do what they want even in front of the mediator and there will be no consequence.

I must say I’ve never seen a group of folks so confident in their ability to Care Bear Cowbell Bull$$$ their way out of anything….. snow in Seattle, Covid illness in December, pilot shortages etc. Regardless of how it turns out, make no mistake, they ABSOLUTELY think they’re the masters of spin.

Wait did anyone think 4/1 would make them change their strategy?

In a vacuum?? No. But, given the record attrition, flight cancelations, most likely decrease in sales because of their needless implied tying of picketing to said cancellations, and general pilot shortages, ….. I’d have thought the better part of wisdom might prevail, before self help, but…… apparently not. They are literally deaf….. to everything…. except each other apparently
