Latest info is over 500 pilots hired so far this year, and 2023 hiring looks to be “busy”. Get your apps in y’all.

Don’t hate me…just putting the info out there in the ‘Hiring’ thread.

just flew with a former chief pilot. I guess attrition at Alaska is only counted for the pilots that finish training. If true, than our record high attrition doesn’t account for all the pilots leaving during training. Makes me wonder out of the 500, how many are actually here.

What should our proposed pay rates look like with all the TA’s at the regional’ s lately?
Not only will attrition be a problem but also recruitment, I think we are in trouble.

Second tier majors - Alaska, JetBlue, Spirit, Frontier, Allegiant, etc., are going to have to quickly raise the ante. When MESA is outbidding you, you are in serious trouble…
