If this new United-Jetblue partnership actually ends in an acquisition I could see Alaska and American doing the same. Considering the same alliance and not too much route overlap. Basically already on 'phase 2'. Wouldn't say it's likely but could be possible if there's another round of mergers.

OTZ Can clarify this for us.

No, I don't, not at all, but that doesn't mean the environment right now is one in which labor can reasonably expect big gains either. Bad environment now, and likely to get worse before someone with a vocabulary of more than 100 words is able to come clean up the mess... So if anything, doesn't that mean it's us with our b**ls in the vice?

Looks like SEA could be getting smaller for the 737 as well:

Hopefully we won’t have more trans-con flying farmed out to American.

you don’t read to good do you? Show me in the article where it says 737 will be reduced? It says sone connecting flights will go to PDX instead of SEA “TO FREE UP ROOM!!!” Read that again FREE UP ROOM! Room for what you ask? More 737 flights from other locations to fill the WB flying.

Have you considered blood pressure medicine? Or perhaps meditation? You might want to calm down a little bit.

Plus it's worth noting that the 330s have a lot of wing you'll have to fit in there. 198 feet. So "freeing up room" might be literal.
