or

Not sure how they grow the Alaska side with 737s under our TPA. Maybe we get as many freighters for every airframe they add.

Still say the MAX deliveries are the biggest pressure point on JCBA on the company. No deliveries then no rush for them.
Attrition will be the motivator for a JCBA. If we can't hire when we want to, and we can't staff the way we want to because of attrition, that will move the needle for management. Right now, there is little motivation to get it done. TPA is largely irrelevant at this point as it ends in September. We can grow the 737 side as scheduled, just as the 787 deliveries continue. All bets are off come September.

The TPA does not end in September, it ends after the Operational Merger Date.

The TPA does not end in September. One part of it expires but the rest of it remains in place until JCBA.

Yeah, that one part covers a lot of ground for the context of what we are discussing. Again, all bets are off in September.

For “no furlough” only. All parts of the TPA otherwise are in full effect until the activation date of first vacation bid post SLI. Important to understand our rights and job securities as it is scope protection from each other and the companies feet to the fire, until we merge.

Proportionality remains. So you can furlough from both companies proportionally. If you need to grow either side, or shrink, the company has a problem. Go read it. It’s supposed to be anti whipsaw

If they can hold it, and if these numbers hold true. All subject to potential change.

just take half so DM says 100-110 upgrades call it 50 will be the real number. I bet the downgrades could re upgrade with 25-30 upgrade slots

You’d have to look at the bid transaction log see how many ahead of the downgraded captains, wanted to upgrade. Break it down by base. For the most junior of the 12 I’d say it will at least be 2 years. Since there are 30-50 pilots in each base that have bid for CA but could not hold it for the last couple of years. I was watching this really closely since I was fairly certain I’d be downgraded in 2026.
