Any word on how seniority, basing, and pay will work if hired under the combined application? As of now Alaska pays over 70% more first year than Hawaiian. Will new hire pay be at Alaska rate regardless of airline?

Basing, if you pick Alaska, you’ll get anyone of their bases, based on seniority and base availability. Standard airline stuff.
Hawaiian, well if 787 isn’t filled in SEA it could be available, but count on HNL in the 717.

New hire pay at Hawaiian is $87/hr, there was a $10,000 bonus for a while, but not sure if that's staying or not, Alaska's is about $120 according to their profile page. I wouldn't say that's 70% difference, still sizable though. If you go to the Hawaiian side of the house you'll get Hawaiian pay until JCBA, seniority will be DOH, and you'll be based in a Hawaiian base: HNL, CVG (330 freight) , or SEA (787). If you go to the Alaska side of the house the same deal, Alaska pay and bases until JCBA. I think the big difference is indoc will be in Seattle regardless of what side of the operation you pick.

From what I hear it's an octagon type deal. 2 pilots enter, last one standing is senior, the other is put on indefinite reserve.
In all seriousness I probably misunderstand their question, If Straoliner was asking about in class seniority, I believe Alaska uses age. Hawaiian is last 4 of SSN.
