Seems fair to the people who will have to drive an hour plus to and from everyday. Hopefully there's some in that boat for this trail period and maybe it'll change.

Welcome to Alaska where the wheel still has four sides and they run the airline with a no. 2 pencil.
If you're used to the regionals, you'll fit in well. The work rules are the same or worse and the pay is a little better but not as good as the the big three.
Set your expectations low enough and you won't be disappointed.

I heard that they have hotel contracts for the classes up to the class starting August 31, which they started filling.
You have seats in seniority order and bid for your base in the morning of the first day.
July 17 class had 2 LAX positions and 10 Seattle.
