I submitted the video interview 2 weeks ago but have not heard back. Has anyone else waited this long? I've read on a few other threads that the typical response is 7-10 days. Should I contact HR to follow up?

Thanks, the anticipation is intense!

Last year, the training department got extremely bogged down over the holidays, and fall new hires were taking 6 months to go through, with long breaks. Not very efficient. Turns out, senior instructors, APDs, and LCAs take vacation during the holidays! Go figure! It's hard to cram lots of people through with little instructor availability.

We've also had turnover in the recruitment office, one of the recruiters left the company, and they are looking for a replacement.

So bottom line, if you want to work here, and get an arbitrary rejection (computer dump), or hear nothing but crickets, be patient and keep trying. Long term, we are still looking at massive growth if 1/2 of what upper management is saying comes true.
Crickets aren't so bad of a sound.

Anyone know the hiring outlook? I just got an email saying “your application has been put on hold for future new hire classes” and to keep updating my stuff.

The company just announced that the MD80-Airbus transition, which completion was projected to be late 2019, got pushed up to next June.
Thant means 25ish pilots will have to go through training every month, I'm not saying hiring will stop but it will probably slow down.
Some guys here have been with Allegiant much longer than me, they can probably give a better prediction.

The transition is still 2019. Only LAS got moved up to June, 2018.

We have stopped hiring because training is swamped and still have many pilots in the pipeline. Most likely going to start using a pool like almost every other airline. Expect hiring to ramp back up in 2018. But yes, today's announcement may push that back.

Are there any current Allegiant pilots that I could PM, for a specific question? Thanks.
