PIT is one of the most junior bases along with OAK and PGD. It was a 1 year upgrade when it opened up a few years ago but things have slowed down these days since there has been no hiring all year. It’s a smaller sized base but should be easy to hold reasonably quick once hiring ramps up again.

That was true a year ago. 3 F/O's were just displaced and several others are waiting to get into PIT. With only 11 positions, it will be a long wait for any new hire to get PIT as an award. Until we add another airplane and upgrades start again, prepare to wait.
If you like the company and really want to live in PIT, then don't hesitate to apply. Just know that it may be a while.

application submitted correctly?
Hi everyone,
I submitted my application about a month ago and received the "Thank you applying..." email. There was a window that came up with a quiz/questionnaire to complete but the link didn't go anywhere. My account on the Allegiant careers web page says my application is submitted and the action column is blank. I also noticed the only place I have listed my flight hours is on my resume.
I haven't heard anything yet. Did I fill the application out correctly?
Thanks in advance

Not really since around the early 2016 era. Around that time there were some hired with around 2500TT range with no TPIC, just regional pilot experience. If you consider that recently. Still overall experience level was high. Post contract was more like 4000tt + with 1000 + TPIC but there were some exceptions.

No, because we haven't hired anyone at all since 12/2017. And with management stating their desire to significantly reduce staffing per aircraft, it doesn't sound like we will be hiring for quite some time. Maybe mid 2019.
I'll go ahead and point out that I stated that we would have a significant period of no hiring back in 8/2017 and everyone told me I was lying.

It didnt take a rocket scientist to know there would be no hiring with the huge training bubble needed for an aircraft transition.
