App update. My interview was cancelled last March and was just looking to touch base. Thank you!

My suggestion would be hang tight, and wait for news. Rumors are strong that we will resume hiring in the fall. Cold emailing random people in HQ probably won't get you the kind of attention you want at this company.

Thumbs down C19 testing + N95 mask mandatory

Big con IMO. Charter flying now requires mandatory testing prior to show. What could go wrong? Two weeks isolated in BFE due to a positive (real or error).

I've been showing up for work for decades without submitting to a DNA swab / health check. Not going to start now. I'll wear the mask without a fuss until we get through this but I feel this 'health screening' goes too far : /

So don't pick up any charters. If you get one on reserve, call out. Some people really make things harder than they need to be. Also, this is an NCAA requirement, not a company mandate.

Wow. Great advice Margaritaville. Haven’t heard you chime in in at least 3 minutes...

My posting frequency doesn't diminish your pointless whining about having the easiest airline job in the world.

I used to think G4 was the easiest airline job in the world until I left... Sometimes I wonder if that’s a ploy to keep people there. Making people believe the grass isn’t greener. Many flying jobs out there that are much easier.

It depends entirely on seniority, base, how early one upgrades, proximity to the airport, etc. Make the right choices (sometimes it involves a little luck) and it is absolutely the easiest job out there. Take the earliest upgrade, perhaps out of base, and it will not be the easiest. Get hired and then have G4 stop hiring for 2 years, not the easiest. Commute while jr...

Default Pros and Cons of Allegiant

From an outsider’s viewpoint it seems like a cake job for the people who live close to their base and want to ride out their career living where they are based. Seems like it would be a nightmare for a commuter though.

99% of the whining here comes from those who choose to commute, took first upgrade (especially in a base where they don’t live) and sentenced themselves to years of hard labor on reserve, or are new hires who got hosed by the furloughs and displacements. If you live in your base and have a little bit of seniority, this place is nothing but a flying club.
