Maybe in a few years, sure. I'll believe in when merlot is gone and you can book international flights. Based on how long it took them to just re-do G4connect, I wouldn't be too concerned about them rolling out an entirely new IT infrastructure.

"Allegiant will adapt and fix the problems at some point."

The fact that management is capable of "adapt and fix the problems" is laughable - when has that ever happened? I am sure management would love to try and do more overnights but they are incapable of running that type of operations imo. Management had a monster Q4 by running a relatively clean operation.

I have zero confidence in management running overnights and a more complex operation. I have the uttermost confidence that management will do whatever it takes to keep the stock high (see recent share buybacks). That is why i believe it is very unlikely we will see a dramatic shift away from day trips.

Exactly. And from a cost standpoint overnights are incredibly expensive. That is the business model. EasyJet USA. They save tons by not having overnights. Not to mention NO ONE will stay here if overnights become a thing.

It’s easy… they take some extra reserves in Sanford and have them fly out of whatever base for a couple days.. send them home…done

.

And yet airplanes manage to fly from
A to B everyday. How do you explain this?

Question: Im new on this site and thinking of applying at Allegiant. A few things, trying to find out what current pay is for a new FO. Th other thing that attracts me is that there is a base where I live, so not spending a day off or day prior or after to commute is attractive. I've read some different options here. BTW, I'm at AW.

Thanks in advance for any reality answers from you guys on the line.

Just finished first year and my W2 said $49,000. I did two to three TDY’s to add some extra perdiem or it would have been less. Apply for assistance or get a second job. Or better yet just apply somewhere else. You’ll thank yourself later!

+1. FL reserve sucks already but this is the quick fix. To say that the only way we survive is by getting rid of day trips is delusional/fear mongering IMO.

What base are you interested in? It will make a huge difference the experience varies widely from one base to another.

as a general rule of thumb, if it’s already a base when you’re hired, getting an upgrade there is extremely unlikely for a very long time, as in double digits years, so expect to be in fo pay for a while. If you’re willing to move to a new base, things can be pretty good here, if not, it’s a matter of time until you get frustrated and leave imo

WOW. Thanks for the insight. I flew in the JS for the first time and the CA showed me a proposed pay scale, but currently I make more than a New FO here and I fly a CRJ200. I live in Nashville (BNA), and not planning to relocate.

And if I don't get the as a base, makes no sense if its day trips 98% of the time.

Thanks
