Based on the current resignations vs the hiring, Allegiant will lose over 300 pilots this year and the total pilot group will be below 1000 pilots by the end of the year.

It looks like we're net -13 for 2023. What's your source on 300 for this year? Based on hard numbers looks like we'll lose <100

How many did we hire this year? All those plus another 13. Keep in mind we are hiring guys with minimal experience. Once they get what they need and we abuse them with tdys and Larry limos they leave. 300 seems reasonable.

They’re saying we’re on pace to lose 300+ pilots; I think you’re referring to the net loss after accounting for new-hires.

Counting the 8 upgrades on the bid requests from February, we have lost 11 captains since November. The 8 upgrades on this bid won’t even start upgrade training until April 3rd.

I once.rode in the back of a pt cruiser across FL with a driver that kept falling asleep. Worst part is if you are on reserve our work rules left them drive you almost anywhere without pay.

Larry's Limo is a nearly unheard of national dispatch service for private transportation. It's kind of like Lyft for limos, but "limo" is a misnomer because it's usually not a limo. It's usually a broken down minivan, a full sized van, or some kind of Hyundai. Allegiant uses it to deadhead crews between cities. So they will call you on reserve in SFB and tell you you're going to take a Larry Limo 3.5 hours to PGD (Toyota minivan) then fly a 1 leg flight to FNT, take another Larry Limo to GRR (3 hours in a Hyundai Sonata in a blizzard), overnight, fly a plane to SAV, then another Larry Limo back to SFB (4 hours with crack head in a white Econoline speeding and weaving on the freeway). The drivers aren't vetted, no idea if they are drug tested, properly licensed, insured, or rested. Just some dude who pulls up and says he's there to take you wherever. You'll become very acquainted with this concept on reserve with Allegiant. Oh, and for local transportation they call you a Lyft, but it's some lower tier of Lyft than the general public uses because the cars are always beat up pieces of crap you wouldn't see on your own Lyft, and the drivers usually reek of weed.

I write this out of frustration and a bit of sadness as I really wanted to join you guys. I interviewed here back in the fall, and delayed my class date a few times in hopes that I could see some sort of headway towards a contract. Unfortunately it seems y’all are not closer at all. It sucks. I live in one of your bases, I never plan on moving and I absolutely detest overnights and hotel life. I work at a 91 gig that doesn’t pay fantastic but i get to be home with my kid every day. That’s what I love. I wish I could financially afford to work here, because it’s really where I want to be.

I let recruiting know that I wouldn’t be making it to my class date. Best of luck to y’all!
