The company would love nothing more than for a few to completely sh*****t on the negotiations. Vast majority that know better and are engaged in whats happening know, that negotiations are progressing. Might not be happy or even tired of all the drama BS, and even certain setbacks caused by ARs lack/void of actual leadership.
The company has tried to undermine the union, more so now with their comprehensive package. Nonetheless the IBT is absolutely putting forward every resource possible to not only get this local on its feet, but staffed with the right individuals.
Decertifying right now will damage the pilot group, set it back and give the company what it wants; an excuse to jam whatever they want down our throats. We decertify, we lose our retention bonus or the company uses it as leverage for their "final offer". We louse most if not all our funds, our team care medical coverage. We will be left in an even more desperate place than we have been in years! It's absolutely idiotic and irresponsable to do this.

The IBT is not going to sleep on this, they will fight this tooth and nail and will win this. We cannot afford anymore set backs. We are close to a contract, and we are close to having a functional, healthy and strong local. ALPA is not going to happen at Allegiant any time soon.

I've got news for you: if IBT was really putting every resource forward into helping you guys, they wouldn't have put GU in charge. He may be different than the previous regime, but he's not much better. You're not close to the contract you deserve, and with MG in charge, it's doubtful you ever will be without serious representation change. Company and the union keep dangling that carrot in front of you guys, saying things will be better in time, you'll get a good contract, etc. Those promises just never seem to pan out though.

We’re about as close to a contract as the Sunseeker is to having 100% occupancy!

I used to think late 2025, possibly into 2026 with the environment that was present a year ago. Now the status is indefinite. Nobody is hiring anymore and there are even furloughs in spots. Company could give two sh*** about giving us a “contract we’ll be proud of.” We’ll continue being paid less than RJ pilots for the next several years. Only prayer is getting released by the NMB, but we all know that will never happen.
