Wow! I can’t wait till I see you in the terminal spouting the stuff you spout on here.

Currently hiring with classes scheduled every 3 weeks.

it’s my understanding that many new hires have little to no 121 experience.

Allegiant is like a regional from 15 years ago before there was a shortage.

the thing is there’s no shortage of people that want to fly an Airbus.

new hires to the industry don’t know what they’re worth. It’s like how military guys don’t know what scope is.

when people get fed up they leave with a type rating and get replaced by a cfi and the circle continues.

in my view things will get better when people realize they can’t go anywhere else, or when they can’t hire enough. Neither problem is a problem right now.

I had an Endeavor CRJ captain jumpseat with us the other day. He's maxed out on their pay scale at $239/hr. He makes more than a top allegiant 320 captain. On an RJ. That's sad.

That’s why I said in an earlier post that we’re paid like third tier regionals. Even half decent ones make more than we do these days. It’s wild that they get people to show up for classes. Kool-aid must be awfully strong while telling them how “close” we are to a “contract we’ll all be proud of!” Any day now! Lol

But day trips. It's all day trips! Home every night! The unique airline model!

Pilots seem willing to give up a lot to sleep in their own bed and drive to work every day. I admit I enjoyed it for a long time but I realized that my time is getting short and there's a lot of money being left on the table. Especially in retirement. Got when the getting was good.

That was a great move, timed extremely well.
