We're going to have this contract for the next 7-10 years, a lot can change in that time so we need to at least lock in the basics even the regionals have.

Basics need to be there for trip and duty. I think everyone agrees on that, but this idea of an entire shift in how the airline would have to operate to accommodate a Delta style scheduling rules system has to go. This ain’t Delta. Anyone that wanted to go could have and chose not to. We came here for a reason. Stop with the absurdities and make a common sense deal that works for everyone.

I can only speak about the majority that I’ve chatted with in the terminals the last few weeks, and that has been a resounding amount of “get the thing done” over “keep waiting for the perfect deal.” Anybody with a brain knows the leverage we once had is long gone and won’t be back anytime soon. I was firmly in the camp of waiting it out 2 years ago. That ship has sailed and now is the time to use common sense and make it happen.

Your sample size isn't proper, there is nearly 1400 pilots on the seniority list so we cannot really go by talking to some pilots in the terminal. The pilots I see chatting in the whatsapp group is a much better sample size. I think you get more of the true feeling there although unscientific of course. However, nearly 100% say no deal without scope.

We are in negotiations this week as you know, the hard sections were finally passed last sessions. I think by the end of the week we will know if the company is ready to give us a contract yet or not. I am leaning towards "no" they are not ready, especially with the string of misfortunes these last 2 quarters. But I hope I'm wrong.

In summary, the Boeing problem will soon be solved and the airplanes will start coming for all the airlines, hiring will resume at some of the carriers soon and we will probably see some attrition as a result. One thing is certain, retirements are not going to stop en masse for a long time. The hotel will sell or will be managed into profitability at some point. With a tremendous amount of luck, maybe we can return to a percentage of what we once were as a growth airline valuation wise.

Who is "we"? You and your defunct union buddies or are you just 1 man acting like you speak for the whole group again?

Sometimes I can't figure out which team Tom plays for. Just when I thought his IBT chest pounding couldn't get more shallow he posts a treatise like this.

Here's what I came away with: *checks notes*

*Polls are wrong unless Tom agrees with the verdict. Obviuously a sampling error which is the weakest of all poll criticisms.

*Whatsapp group where vocal minorities rule and feed off each other are a much better indicator lol. They want Delta.

*Negotiations are at the endgame now down to the financials. Everything else TA'd?
Wow. Has this been officially announced?

*Boeing has solved their problems and will start delivering airplanes soon.
Wow you must have an inside guy there too.

*Legacy airlines have solved their problems and will start hiring again soon.
Really? Wow. We're hearing AA won't hire again until mid next year. UAL is hamstrung by Boeing. Delta? Who knows whats going on over there they are one computer meltdown away from more chaos and they have an endless supply of Endeavour and military flows to find seats for

*Attrition will pick back up at G4 and industry retirements will shift leverage back to the G4 pilots. Hell even the swamp water hotel is about to solve itself! Good things right around the corner trust us.
This sounds like a manangement speil. Is Tom secretly in management and here to continue dragging this thing out by pushing unrealistic expectations? Andrew played right into their hands with this.

*With a tremendous amount of luck, maybe we can return to a percentage of what we once were as a growth airline valuation wise.

Y'all have already missed a full contract cycle at the highest leverage point anyone has seen in 30 years. That's not going to come again. All the regional airlines are making more than you now. You'd be better to take the money now, cut your losses, make some basic improvements, take a 2-3 year deal, and wait for the next cycle to get the dream list. Just the humble opinion of someone with 30 years in this business and 10 years at G4 who has seen contracts and airlines come and go and has no dog in the fight.

Here we go again, doesn't even work here. Not even sure why you have a vested interest in seeing our pilot group fail. We have done nothing to you to warrant a post like this.

Typical vapid and flippant response from you. I don't work there anymore so I don't know anything lol. No refutations whatsoever.

Thanks for playing. The pilots will decide who to believe but my feeling is it ain't you.

I do not want to see you fail. Quite the opposite. I still have a lot of friends and a lot of nostalgia for allegiant. I want to see everyone succeed. Poor leadership is killing it though. Especially self appointed "leaders" like you who grab the ear of reps and tell them to hold out for the Delta contract. Those reps are glad to drag it out because the longer it drags out the more they get paid. And I'm hearing that GU and CG are f-ing it up royally. The problem is IBT. Full stop. They're a truckers union that likes pilot money to support the other side of the house.

I highly doubt you have any friends.

You're a hard person to like. You come over here from your lofty perch at your airline to talk down to us and pretend you are somehow helping when in reality all we are asking for is what you already have. By attempting to help when your help is as useful as shooting off your own foot, you cannot even help yourself to recognise this simple fact: No-one wants your help.
