it’s funny you think I’m on the kool aid, I know both sides are running straight political campaigns. All they are doing is saying what they can that appeases who they are talking to. Some things are regulated such as earnings calls, 10ks, and 8ks. I don’t take what AR or the company say as fact, but I still listen, keep a close eye on the industry, and the economy. All of these factors: pilot shortage, upcoming plane payments, even the forcast recession ( which should not affect G4 demand), the cost of pilot turn over, lack of immediate regulatory relief, and the schedule they are already selling for the holiday season point to one thing: NEW CONTRACT. The question isn’t if, it’s when, and what will it look like?

The one thing management can’t break in the contract is paying me high rates. That number doesn’t lie…words can be manipulated, pay rates cannot. |

why would anybody want a re-write over a sack of cash?? You think if we re-write the contract management and ms foster will suddenly stop doing the same old $h*+??

I don't have any reason to doubt him right now so cautiously optimistic. Some bold statements were made to that effect, not that it can't change for the worse but I assume he believes what he says. Maybe I'm just not seeing it, but I do not see anything that says simple normal progress is not being made. I am happy for the time being to let this team do its work and withhold judgement for a later date. I hope my feelings are not misplaced but time will tell. |

According to AR video April 16th, the hurdle they are working on is what happens if the contract is violated. To paraphrase, they are aware that without these protections, the rest of the contract could be meaningless. The first 1 minute and 20 seconds describes the issue perfectly.

Reasonably stated, and a great analysis of the current situation. Nice to see some reason around here

The problem is we keep getting told that arbitration wins are coming but then we keep losing the “industry standard” arbitrations. Union was super confident about VFNs, rental cars, SAP going abg, Merlot, etc. and we’ve lost all of them. If we lose the RAPs one then that is a long losing streak. The strategy worked for a while but something happened and now all do we lose. I don’t want the hope of winning arbitrations to enforce the next contract. This just seems like stuff to make the exco and AR’s job easier. He’s not some selfless leader that is just trying to serve others (see his PGD line every month), he’s a politician making sure he gets his and imo all this noise about sections 18 and 19 are more for his benefit than mine. Just pay me more money. Make vfns 300%, increase my guarantee, increase my rates, top notch retirement DC, etc. all those numbers cannot be argued or manipulated. Those numbers I know I will get because numbers do not lie. |

Unless and until that happens, AR is complying with the wishes of the pilot group via the survey. Begrudging the wealth of AR is fodder for contesting his elected position. It’s an elected position. Don’t vote for him when his tenure is up. |
