The conditions that gave rise to the business model - cheap, used, paid for airplanes; cheap, willing, happy-to-just-have-a-job employees - are changing. I think the operation will change; maybe not drastically but enough that the company is going to want to keep their options open.

The other thing is any weirdly restrictive contract language would discourage a buyer.

Just set min day pay at 4 hours for single day trips and 6 hours for multi day pairings. Problem solved. There are actually plenty of pilots who would be happy to do multi-days if they paid well.

4 hours only gets you minimum monthly guarantee for a reserve pilot with 12 days off. Need 5 hours.

that would only benefit lineholders, and would have basically zero affect on reserve pilots

get a 3.5 rig and 5 hour min day. Solves both problems. The rig pays 6.86 hours for every 24 hours away from base. Those two have been QOL changers at sunny. Our 5 day trips pay as much as 32-33 hours. 6 days can push 37-39. Commuters can do 2, 6 days or a 5 and 6 and be done for the month..

So willing to trade standard 5 hour min. day for “day trip incentive.” Down the slippery slope we go.

Sun Country got 5 hrs in their last contract. Cant we do better than that? That's pretty sad

6 hrs min day. Over nights pay 1.3 per day which is 15 hr 2 dat trips. Very simple to calculate. Oh, and if the tip is scheduled to duty off after monight (arrive in base after 2345) it generates another day and the 1.3 kicks in.

You really shouldn’t post weaker/ worse contract language on a public forum. If you’re an allegiant pilot or not it hurts the negotiations and you obviously dont want Industry standard which is at least a minimum of 5 hours pay per day.

This all boils down to what the Union presents to the pilot group to vote on. Whatever is presented will likely get voted in so its up to our union negotiating committee to not present anything substandard no matter how many years this takes.

I'd love to know what is industry standard on CBT's. That threatening email from KS about being pulled from flying unpaid unless i work in my own time on their requirements was enough for me to hit send on one of my apps. More going next week. maybe I wont get hired somewhere else but from here on in it won't be for lack of trying.

When they are loosing guys, why on earth would they seek to **** off the ones on property? Maury is an idiot. And his minions are pretty despicable.
