I also wonder how much of this is due to our weak contract and the 737 transition. The company can abuse the language in the contract to help manage staffing with seat locks and displacement bids.

A tiger doesn’t change his stripes, and neither does Maury Gallagher!
Maurice Gallagher is virulently anti-union and his number one goal is not to get a contract.

Might want to dust off those kabuki dance shoes! 🤣

They do have some of the best work rules in the industry. 81 hour min guarantee, company paid LTD until 65, pension AND 12% DC, 1 week vacation can get you the whole month off with line bidding. The kind of soft pay you will never see at G4, ever.

The union negotiating committee is committed and hard working but also dreadfully inexperienced. No one on our side has ever been in section 6 negotiations (including our lawyer). Plus, Management’s playbook is to slow play and stall negotiations so we get a raise in 2025 at the earliest. Anybody who actually thought we’d get a deal done soon is naive.
AR won’t pass rates or compensation until UA or AA get a TA ratified because of the leapfrogging that happened last time we were the first to agree and then got left in the dust. Exco doesn’t want a deal done soon and neither does management. This whole dog and pony show was to try and get through the summer and wait for the recession to hit. Honestly at this point management probably got what they wanted.
All the ops issues we’ve had have been caused by flight attendants not pilots. Management is probably more focused on flight attendant getting done because that will help the operation more than pilot pay and it will cost a fraction.

And you guys accuse me of doom and gloom all the time. Guess I called this one.
Yes, this is your cue to update your applications. This bus is going nowhere and you're going to miss the next one if you don't get going.
