pay rate rumors from the union
heard from a source that the exco finished section 3 and is gonna be passing soon. i'm hearing that the rates are significantly higher than Alaska's new rates. plus huge improvements to min guarantees, min duty pay, deadhead, etc.
now we will see how serious management is about getting a deal done... |

Or is it a union guy spreading BS rumors that you fell for hook line and sinker? That's why compensation is last. Your tall tale simply doesn't make sense. You wouldn't pass a compensation proposal then go back and hit scheduling and hours of service. I say you're full of crap, as usual. I'm sticking with your management handlers sent you to spread this one for obvious reasons. |

Lol What is so unbelievable about the union passing rates now that Alaska has set the bar? i've been saying for months that the exco was waiting to pass rates until one of the legacy carriers got a deal done. i assumed (wrongly) that it would be UA, but it turns out Alaska was first. now exco at least know what the market is for NB pilots so they can make sure to put out rates that are higher than alaska's - in this case the rates are significantly higher than alaska's. |
Like I said above what's so unbelievable is that no airline negotiates in Section 6 that way. It would be completely asinine to pass compensation before the other sections are closed out with known costs and you DO NOT just take a negotiated rate and demand it. That's not how negotiations work. It's a package not a pay rate. I really hope your source is BS and they aren't that simplistic.
