It isn't all sunshine and rainbows everywhere else either. I have heard guys from all sorts of airlines complain about all sorts of things. I'm not implying that your complaints don't have merit, because I'm sure they do. Some here seem to love wallowing in misery. Why do that to yourself? I get emails for high paying expat jobs every week. There are other jobs out there. I am sure anybody who has worked at Allegiant for a while is more than qualified to go almost anywhere. Go make yourself happy at a better company.

Hold on while I call Delta Headquarters and request my interview. I had no idea there were so many opportunities out there! If everyone had the "if you don't like it, quit" attitude instead of trying to improve things, we'd all be making about $28/hr. Sure, other airline pilots have complaints, but complaining that your crew meal is cold isn't quit on the same level as, "I can't afford to retire at this rate."

Condescending statement. This isn’t anyone’s first barbeque.
Miserable? Whaaaa, you assume too much. If you do work here, you wouldn’t be able to distinguish me from the happy face I display. This is just me doing my part to tell the POGE’s of the world; Go to hell. Wherever they may be. Just so happens, we got a lot of them right here.
Oh yaaa. Beautiful thing, this ain’t 2005. Gives us münchò options for lifeboats. Just in case someone underestimates our resolve.
Didn’t answer my question, it was pretty simple. Do you work here? It seems you posted here before? Not a lot of post for a casual bystander, who is not in the employ of G4?
Hmm..

Disco, not sure what your situation or deal is, but we ALL have aspirations of going somewhere that treats its people with dignity and respect. Allegiant is by far the worst hole in the biz. Hard to say exactly what percentage of peeps have their apps out, but from our surveys I'd venture a guess of 70-80%. You don't just call Delta for an interview. That day may come soon, but its not here yet.

CLMP said it perfectly, if we accepted this without a fight, the whole industry would soon look like Allegiant. We will fight this to the bitter end so this crap doesn't contaminate the entire profession.
Maury's plan actually worked for the flight attendants: force or entice senior disgruntled people to quit and replace them with the never-ending litany of bright-eyed, gushing replacements. Right now the pilot pool consists of regional types looking to get out of their eroding circumstances and see this heap as a step up. In the last few months the company has hired 20-30% of the pilot group. What our delusional management fails to realize is that pilots won't fall for this crap and our new hires are already on board with the union.

Second, most of us came to this airline when things were a lot different, and the airline has changed, not the pilots. Why should we leave? Let management leave. They can make lateral moves.
Many of us have invested a lot of time here, time we will never get back. Starting over at another carrier means back to the bottom. Many would rather attempt to improve this airline before resorting to that plan, especially since this management style will spread like cancer in the industry if it succeeds.
Now, to use your own line disco, if you don't like to read complaints, go somewhere else to read while we complain. That should be much easier for you than it is for us to move to another airline.

CLMP nailed it. Disco, the "if you don't like it, why don't you leave" line is old. First, if everyone did that, like CLMP said, there would be no place to go. Someone has to complain and get the ball rolling for higher pay and better QOL.
