I agree with you. However, those incidents are indicative of an airline management who won't spend money on adequate maintenance. Do you honestly believe they are any more willing to spend money on labor?

There are three big ticket items in the airline business...Capital assets, Fuel and Labor.

Fuel isn't easily controlled. So, if you want to cut costs you cut it in Capital (buy 67 MD-80s that the Majors don't want and maintain them to the minimum acceptable standard) and Labor (low wages/benefits/poor work rules).

From this thread, you can easily see where Allegiant managers have chosen to cut costs. Hopefully, enough of the pilots are P.O.ed enough to actually (as opposed to verbally) hit the picket lines. Its all a moot point until they are actually released to self-help AND not sidelined by an immediate PEB.

Considering what Allegiant does, its doubtful a PEB would be issued. They are, after all, a leisure travel company.

The strike will not be enjoined and there will not be a PEB. It only takes one guy to walk the line, the rest will be scabs and the stars of Youtube, Twitter, Facebook, Master scab list, etc. Better hope they get a fat raise to pay for all those commuting tickets for the rest of their career.

MAYBE if we were just ‘another f….ing airline’ we wouldn’t have employees who are actually CONCERNED about putting their families on our flights.

.

This was great. These were two big reasons why I left, it got the point where my wife didn't want me to fly because of all the crap going on because if you get violated then you are there for ever. I wish you guys the best and I will happily walk with you and help out any way I can!

Thank you for your support, Puma!

See Packrat, THAT is support. The passive agrressive diatribe you spout would not fall into that category.

Anytime! I still have a lot of friends there, and what (some) other pilots don't understand is that if your (allegiants) new contract stinks it will (in an indirect way) effect them, by way of their management comparing your contract to theirs and if it's not as good or better than standards everyone's management will jump on it and try and bring their employees down. It is to every pilot(s) in the industry's best interest to support allegiant's pilot group and try and bring allegiants contract up.

Spot on Buddy! That is exactly one of the biggest reasons I left! No matter how good a contract, the CA upgrade carrot (along with 10 days off a month reserve, Tuesdays and Saturdays off), you are putting your hard worked license at stake every day over there because if something happens to you, know that management will NOT be on your side but they will try to blame you..

This can’t be overstated. This next ordeal will be a fantastic refresh of the old “Master Scab list”. Soon we will have an accurate accounting (if any); of Posers who hope to never be outed.

I'll be by the gate with my camera. It's pretty hard to be anonymous these days. Hang em high!
