Allegiant Air

Hope those newhires enjoy the Airbus as it's now a fact that they won't suffer the training costs of allowing current MD80 FOs to transfer over.
Just another way that a rising tide lifts all boats. Thanks again for all you do.

What kind of history do these pilots have that allegiant won't take them? Is allegiant actually stupid enough to turn down a qualified candidate if they can't fill seats?

Qualified on paper doesn't always mean qualified. Personality goes a long way...

Apologies if it has been discussed, but I can't find it recently. What bases/seats are currently being hired for?

Well, the safe answer was all Florida bases. Probably still is. But, now we have this new basing priority called HOM, stands for? Home basing is what its being called. I’m (were) not to sure what it is. Means right now whatever. You are most likely, just living in the parking lot of whatever airport the airplane happens to end up at. Would be my guess. I don’t know.
And now I think, the company is not allowing md fo’s to transfer to the airbus. So, new hires are being sent to airbus. So, that would mean direct to a hard base where the airbus is currently at; pie, sfb and iwa.
