I asked my regional buddy if he's going, he said he doesn't want to lose his mainline flight benefits! It's no wonder though, unfortunately right now even as a regional FO you won't make much more money first year at allegiant. Maybe even second because you would have upgraded at the regional or gone to more attractive airlines.

In addition to whatever quality of life gains you’ve made at your respective regional.

Xbone, what are you saying here? (I'm really not up to speed on the jargon) are you saying that Allegiant won't attract pilots already typed in the a/c they fly?

Just curious, I don't have much interest in them for now but I do have the dc9 type at a place that's not the greatest either.

Thanks

In my opinion? Not very.
Will I discourage you from applying? No.

On a scale of 1-10, you are a 4. Just my opinion. I think the tpic may move you above where your total time would stack you otherwise.

Allegiant can still be somewhat selective of its applicants, despite what I assume is wide knowledge of its myriad issues? That is surprising. And not good in terms of trying to make things better for those already there.

Yeah man, the guy who works for Allegiant probably has no clue what he's talking about.
