But, but...they don't want a 3rd party to come between management and the pilots.....

G4’s propaganda campaign, as comical as “baghdad bob”.

41 TDYs, which is roughly 10% of the pilot group. This is not likely to get better any time soon as they are SO far behind in staffing due to the training department shut down/sim shutdown/attrition. Oh, and of course the government shutdown..😒

It was interesting to hear various management types in recurrent gloss over the actual reasons, why staffing got so bad. They stay focused on what won’t agitate their obtuse masters.

Ode for a coffee corner..

I'm not often on here, but felt the need to answer the question is a regional better than allegiant?

Depends on the regional and depends on your seniority at that regional. When I left XJT for AAY (mind you this was almost 4 years ago) I was pretty senior could easily get almost everything I wanted in a schedule (days off, commutability etc)

When I went to AAY it was this way for a little while. When I first started even reserve wasn't so bad. As the schedules at AAY got worse so did QOL, there were some months (that I was commuting I know my choice) that I was home 4-5 days a month. That's it. Sure if I had moved to base it would have been better, but at that point my schedules at XJT were looking like puppy dogs and lollipop's compared to AAY. I was lucky and never got TDY'd but I know of plenty who have. I will also say this (maybe the guys who live in base could chime in too) but the schedules (at least 6 months ago) at AAY will burn you out, there is only so much to be said for being home every night when you work 6 days a week. So again, depends on the regional and where you are on the seniority list if a regional is better than allegiant.

This is all 100% accurate. Looking at the lines at Great Lakes, they are better than the ones at G4. That should say something.

This is one sad commentary.

Yep. Hired in 2004 & upgraded to CA in 11 months. Just finished 6 days on with one day off before I resume my two on one off / two off max. through March 31st. Major mx issues & scheduling issues beyond belief.

Most people don't mind putting up with crappy schedules and working conditions because they know, eventually, it will improve as they gain seniority. The problem with Allegiant is that things DO NOT get better with seniority. The QOL was better when I was hired, almost 9 years ago. You will find yourself with no reward for your hard work and sacrifice and with absolutely nothing to look forward to. To all prospective pilots, please stay at your current company and wait for a good LCC or legacy. When we get a new contract and you are still looking for a job, we'd love to have you. Until then, look elsewhere. You will be hurting yourself and everyone who works here by lining up to work at this circus.
