I know the person that filed that lawsuit. I flew with him a lot.

I also know the story behind his being let go, and while I don't want to air it here, his age had absolutely nothing to do with it.

I know his version of the story, and I know the real story. While I'm no fan of management at Allegiant, he had a lot of opportunities to succeed.

For anyone who doesn't know, PS on an airline that offers low-frequency service to small cities within a 8 or 9-hour turn from LAS means that you're on your own.

It's not a reflection in the airline, it's just the way the business model works.

It wasn't a forced upgrade. He bid for it.

While it may be true for some depending on their location, if you live in or near a city allegiant serves it might work out. Some of the cities might be low frequency but twice a day. While other cities might only be twice a week. So it really kinda depends. I wouldn't say you're totally on your own. If you're east coast that may be another story, since allegiant doesn't really do any connecting flights coast to coast.

Oh, for Christ's sake....that means for the vast majority of the country, you're on your own. Did you ever watch Seinfeld? It's a "non-vite;" an "un-vitation."

New guy question. What's the pay like for picking up a trip on a scheduled day off? Would it go on top of the 70 hour guarantee if sitting reserve? Any higher than 100%? Thanks

Above min guarantee, anything above 81 hours is paid at 130%. There are some messed up rules they have made up to deny being paid (pure reserve), but most of it is straight forward

Who were the 11% that were satisfied with their compensation regarding the survey? I wasn't aware we had that many people in management voting. Do you think the legacies have 54% of their pilots with applications out? This place is screwed when the legacies really ramp up hiring in a few years.

Guys here aren't even waiting for the legacies to call in many cases. 3 guys from my new hire class left for other low cost carriers within 6 months.
