Appears to be somewhat the case....unless you really want to live there the high cost of housing will deter many. & in the case of LAX you probably face a very long upgrade time, maybe second only to BLI.

I know that it would be a WAG at best, but what would be the upgrade time on either airplane in IWA?

Question for you Allegiant guys... I am flying on y'all tomorrow, bought a ticket as it was super cheap rather than trying to jumpseat, and I paid for a carry-on bag. I am planning on bringing my regular Luggage Works Stealth roller bag. Fits in just about every overhead bin as you all know. The dimensions are within the Allegiant dimensions just barely, but I'm guessing that doesn't include the handle. Are they used to seeing these bags and will most likely be cool with letting it on? Would wearing my badge get me any sort of benefit of the doubt? or am I just better off checking it? I've never flown on Allegiant before, so I don't know how hard core they are about bags, but don't wanna get stuck with a huge extra fee at the gate. Thanks in advance!

I don't work for allegiant, but I jumpseated on them about a year ago (got a seat in the back), and I didn't get charged for either my LW rollerboard or Aerocoast cooler/efb bag.

If you are in uniform, you can get away with anything. Not in uniform, it all depends on the station, from what I've seen come on the airplane you should be fine

Provided the TA passes, the transition from the MD to the AB will pretty much freeze the upgrades, if the rumors on a quick rush of ABs from VA are true

Airbus from VA... Not going to happen according to Jude. Not to mention that VA is being run as a separate company and will not lose aircraft.
