With Captains, I would additionally put SFB-Airbus at the top of the list.

It's hard to say how things are going to shake out in the very near future as we transition to all airbus base by base. Some people are holding out on an upgrade waiting for their base to transition so they don't get equipment locked. Some people are locked and may actually get displaced, then displace the person junior to them anywhere in the system. This has not occurred though so far. The first test of this is coming. Our new contract favors strict seniority in these situations. The old rules you were domicile protected.

To hit your original point about being interested in PIE and AVL, both of those cities are on the list to be completely transitioned to AB during 2017. The last written piece that came from the company was in July. PIE was to be completed by Fall 2017, AVL by winter 2017.

If you get hired here, you will be equipment locked for 2 years, although the company can and does waive this from time to time, but mainly for upgrades and not transitions.

Equipment locks can no longer be released at the company's discretion. If they unlock one, they have to unlock us all. Latest rumor is the company is considering dropping ALL locks this summer.

Austin hasn't been announced as a base. The rumors mentioned at the town hall meetings are possibly/maybe a new base at the end of 2017 with Indy or Austin being top candidates. Destin, FL was officially announced as a seasonal base starting this summer with the chance of it becoming a permanent base sometime if pax demand is there. The high 25% growth years are done for at least the next 2-3 years while the fleet is transitioned to airbus. Expect only 5% departure growth so I wouldn't plan on new bases poping up like the past couple years.

For what benefit? A mass vacancy bid?

A mass vacancy bid would be messy

Curious if the union has any plans for a LOA on this transition issue. Perhaps reverting back to how the old Allegiant used to handle base bidding?

I was personally told in a December recurrent ground class by management that they had zero plans of releasing seat locks. They informed us that the cost would be too high and they do not have the training staffing to accommodate a system wide seat lock release and if you are seat locked when your base transitions you go with the airplane. I'm just trying to get the truth out there.

Direct violation of our cba. Section 12.L.1.

You are assuming those displaced have the seniority to be awarded anything in a vacancy, let alone have enough seniority to displace anyone else.
