I voted "yes" on the assessment because I file 1-2 grievances per month, so I understand the burden the union legal team is under. However, I find it insulting that the union says they need more money, but then they waste our dues on pointless and ineffective lanyards and billboards.
Please stop wasting our money on this garbage. Trying to use lanyards and billboards to get the company to do what you want is like using crystals and Chinese herbs to cure cancer.

Those billboards are useless waste of money. Stuff like that is targeting the general public who have shown in surveys over and over that they think pilots are overpaid fat cats. Our passengers are with us for the cheap ticket and they don’t really care if we are hosed as long as their ticket stays cheap. It’s even dumber to put this near LAS airport since few of our passengers originate there. A snowbird location would have been a better choice. All this will do is cause management to take us even less seriously. Ask anyone at HQ and they will tell you they see our reps as a bunch of amateurs who are easily outplayed. Crap like this only reinforces that. A better use of our money would be legal action as they have promised. Not another asinine publicity stunt. Smarten up boys. You’re playing checkers.

Grow up. If you have a problem with it, there are meanss by which you can express your opinion without putting a smile on management’s face.

The above is a textbook example of the sort of internal derision that the company is hoping to create amongst our pilot group and these types of posts are celebrated amongst the labor relations lawyers who are trying to punish us for voting in a union.

Instead of insulting me because you don’t like what I said contribute to the solution.
