Everyone's experience at Allegiant varies. I can tell you, in my experience, I have had dispatchers argue with me about adding fuel. I've also had dispatchers yell at me for not flying to an airport where the landing distance exceeded the length of the runway, due to snow and ice. I've had them route me right down the middle of hurricanes and tropical storms.

I've had maintenance control tell me to pull the calls circuit breaker on an MD-80 to make an erroneous takeoff config go away. I've also had them try to talk me in to flying a plane back to base because the contract mechanic was several hours away. If you put your foot down and say no, they will finally stop trying to talk you in to doing things.

Just on a side note, my personal record for MEL's on one plane was 26, and the most write ups I ever did on one plane was 16, but that one just came out of a heavy check. Of course the local mechanics said my write ups were in addition to the 50 or 60 other things they already knew about that needed to be fixed. No one told us about those.

But remember, your experience may be different, and your mileage may vary.

Guys, guys, at the end of the day...(sorry, couldn't resist).

We can all go back-and-forth as to our personal experiences, good or bad, but suffice to say the support leaves a great deal to be desired. Years back when we were starting out, we were all willing to roll up our sleeves and build the company, but once the company was built and profits were piling in, we expected to see improvement in all of these areas and to see our 'boats rise with the tides'. Instead, contrary to managements claims, our pay eroded as did our quality-of-life. One would imagine that the operation would at least get better with profits soaring, but the operation has actually gotten worse. While the shareholders have definitely seen the benefits, our passengers and our employees have not. Old excuses of growing pains need to stop. Hundreds of millions in buybacks and dividends should be reinvested into the company and its employees.

Grow up bro....
Stop posting inflammatory statements, because you demand it? Let me see, hmm, I don't think so. Bro. Standby for more of the same. Maybe I'll even get some screen shots? Bro..

Catch me if you can. Bro. Cheers

Well said, man.

Sorry, there are actually some 135s with very positive safety cultures and controls that put certain 121s to shame. I can't name any specifics, 121 or 135, due to my job, but I can say that this is not true.

Let's not pee on the man's parade James. You heard him, he’s been there done that, seen the world and all. With a little prodding of the forces that be, he could be in the indoc class that witness’s our coo “Mav” and/or other Allegiant management types rolled out the building in handcuffs; for making false statements to federal investigators and/or willful falsification of maintenance records.

Agreed, I meant that as a general rule James. There are some 135's out there that actually run like a 121 company, just certified in paper as a 135. But these are the exception not the rule.

And as for you sir, with every post you make you are losing credibility. I might not have 121 experience or actually been around the world like you claim I have but I do have common sense. I can understand that you want to make a point but if I may suggest, you should reconsider your approach. By being disrespectful and saying childish things you are not helping your battle. Sleep on it!
