Hi guys, anyone else here interviewing at Allegiant? Are they awarding the A320 or 757 to new hires or just the MD80? Thanks

757 very unlikely do to those are going away over next two years.

MD80 and AB are awarded based on need. Hard to guess one class will be all AB one may be all MD then another split between. Class seniority is establish by age so older pilots get more choice of AC and base than younger pilots. lots of movement what you get in group school can change by the time you are done with training

Ok. Thanks for the info. I have 3400 TT and just over 1000 hrs ME PIC Turbine and a BS. Also I'm getting my resume walked in by a Capt. Friend of mine. Any info on what to expect would be greatly appreciated!!
Do you think I have a good chance?
Thanks in advance!

You should ask this question to your pilot friend walking in your resume

I did ask, but I just want to hear more opinions from others. Thanks for the reply.

What did he have to say? Usually it's quite helpful to have a line pilot walk in one's resume. Hope it works out for you,

It used to help a lot to have an internal recommendation. Not so much any more. If you read earlier in this thread, or the other one, it talks a lot about what to expect.

Do you currently live in an Allegiant base? Plan on moving to one?

The December 1st class had 40 pilots (plus 2 instructors). 20 went to MD80 and other 20 went to Airbus.

With the exception of one pilot, all Airbus's went in seniority order. I don't think anyone under 35 got the Airbus.
