Keep in mind that the "5%" bonus is only on earnings through September...That means it is improperly labeled and is only approximately 3.75% of your annual salary. Now that is some fuzzy math.

It's just a way for management to hype the bonus. 5% of your 9 month salary sounds better than saying your yearly (12 month) bonus is 3.75%. But they are the same.
