I feel same way... I keep hearing all this talk of retirements, how a Newhire should expect CLT in 2 years, etc.... I have moved 2% in this base in last 3 years. My new advice to every new hire is unless you have a absolute good reason to move to CLT (family, from here, etc....), I’d highly recommend looking elsewhere if you wanna see any of the benefits of this massive hiring boom. My classmates are either baby captains or 777 FO’s and I can barely hold a line and haven’t seen a weekend off in years. Unfortunately I did have whole family here so anywhere else was a no-go with wife.

So where is the flying going? If we are losing 4 to 5 a bid and 10 to retirements a month, with no replacements, where are those block hrs going?

Same as PHL.
The 737 comes through and takes the MBJ turns and AUA flying that used to be local Bus flying.

This is why all the junior bases are joint 737/AB LAA bases now.

I used to be PHL and CLT based. I’m LAX based now and spend a lot of time going through CLT. As much time there as in LAX as a matter of fact.

This is why CLT rsvs fly ALL the time. Bases like LGA, PHL, LAX start a trip and don't hit that hub again until the last day of their trip. Meanwhile they are in and out of CLT or DFW. Well if something goes wrong on the trip they aren't covering it with LGA, PHL, or LAX rsvs typically...Same thing with every ORD airbus flight(not an AB base at ORD). I can't tell you how often I get a DH to ORD to go cover something, and its because there are like 10 flights a day, not to mention its a shorter flight than coming from DFW plus the time change going there helps and LGA because they are FREAKING only domestic and not international and can't cover $#it. ...On a positive side I believe it was the Dec vacancy were like 25 or so junior-ish FOs finally got CLT...jr for CLT that is....
