Maybe they are anticipating an increase in staffing due to contract improvements.

While 2020 will probably be a good year for hiring, 1400 would work out to roughly 54 new hires every 2 weeks. That’d be great, but I’ll believe it when I see it.

I believe it. We are going to be losing tons of pilots between retirements and guys going on ltd (old pilot group). I also believe we can grow, some of these routes are always 100% full

Agreed. They definitely NEED to hire as much as they can. The question will be training capacity at the schoolhouse.

I don't know about the instructor manning but there seemed to be a ton of capacity at CLT. Instruction was all 1v2 and the 320 sims were very open.

Wild guess. There are a good number of ORD pilots on the 787 that commute from the NE. It would not shock me to see many from ORD go especially as the PHL international flying is more year round and desired by some.

It’ll go fairly senior I would bet. Nothing junior for some time.

I still think it will go insanely senior. With only 20 FOs I’d be shocked if anyone junior to 10,000 got it.

Since i say that it’ll prob go to new hires lol

They were hiring 100 a month in 1999.
