For real though, and for the time being, I believe that any pilot furloughs will be minimal and short in duration. Retirements are truly on our side. And they’re helped along with leaves and early outs and training costs.
But I wouldn’t want to be a junior FA. Of course they want people to stop traveling for leisure anyway, so...

A friend of mine brought up a point, what happens to the guys that interviewd but had class dates after the mar 17 class? Or the two-three weeks where they stopped doing CJO’s on the spot? He said they get updates from the hiring department, and none have gotten a TBNT, rather a we want you to start with us because long term we have retirements. (Paraphrased).
I’m not at AA so I don’t know. Although it sounds like they have cared more than some others.

I was sort of thinking that too. Many WB FOs choose that position for what they perceive is good QOL and thus forgo a higher paying NB CA position. I think many will displace to what makes them the most senior if they get kicked back to NB.

no they took the VPLOA out of the August head count as well as all mandatory retirements until 8/31. The retirement numbers are looking forward for the year after VPLOA.
