I said it before and I’ll say it again. You have two options, drive yourself crazy and spend everyday until Oct 1 in anxiety. Or you can get your financial house in order, single engine taxi, requests shortcuts and hope for the best. You seem to have a burning desire to see AA pilots lose their jobs and AA go under. Maybe it’s you with the issue.

yet another blog. FFS I am not sure how pilots ever graduated college seriously. The stuff that gets passed as evidence and news would get people laughed out of school. Every internet argument ends up with me getting present zero hedge or something equally as useless as facts.

No not at all. I have lots of friends at AA, hope they all do well. I just think for anyone to believe that thinks are going to be fine short term and believe somebody like Parker is crazy. I think UAL is trying to get ahead of the game with (hopefully) worst case scenario. Its much easier to say, just kidding Sept 30th then the opposite. I think parkers route is much easier for people to take but not realistic in the least. Would bet AA, UAL and Delta all furlough 2-3k come October 1st.

Okay well Parker’s approach is obviously counting on demand returning faster than what Kirby is planning on. We’ll know in October who was right. I don’t think you can make an argument right now that Kirby is more right than Parker based on these silly Seeking Alpha and other bloggers. So in the mean time chill out, do your job to your best abilities. Watch your spending. Get that resume updated, and hopefully in six months we can all still have our jobs and be on fast track to a full recovery.

They reported better then expected loss and burning less cash. With double the debt and and a fraction of revenue coming in I have to question how Doug can maintain this operation with minimal cuts. Sometimes I feel like he purposely has the company in the express lane to bankruptcy. Hope for the best but plan for the worse.
With the big Airbus lease prices coming due in 3022, I get the sense that AA has no choice but to plan as if revenue completely returns next summer. Anything less/ would mean bankruptcy anyway, so full steam ahead until then in hopes of a more V-shaped reconvery..
Hope I’m wrong and it works out for everybody.
