Exactly. Coming to a flight deck near you needs to be understood from some in the lofty perches.

This thread is all the more reason that this job (not career) is about luck and timing.

You know I chose Atlas over AA, right? Had to choose money and QOL over the prestige of saying I work for AA. You know, the airline who will hire you without an interview.

You're right. I mis-read your comment. That was my mistake.

AA has much more seniority movement over the next 5 years but when you look out over the term of a 25 year career they aren’t much different (for me).
Everything you listed could change in time and will. Senority movement won't and DAL doesn't even come close to AA. I hear alot of the same *****in from my DAL friends that I hear from the guys on the line at AA.

haha yea, Atlas pilots make more than AA. Okay. I’ve got friends over there you do understand that right?

Sorry dude, but there is absolutely no part of your lifestyle that I'd want any part of. Maybe it'd be fun while single in my 20s and I'm glad it works for you, but there's absolutely no way that I'd consider your QOL to even be in the same universe as mine.

I get it, you jumped ship from Envoy and in true APC fashion you have to justify the decision by ****ting on everything AAG, but ACMI flying only works for folks in very specific situations.

lol really! Without even getting into pay and work rules here’s my favorite part:

1. A Crew Member will not be involuntarily assigned to any schedule that would require any duty in excess of seventeen (17) consecutive Duty Days without an intervening four (4) consecutive scheduled Days Off, except as specifically provided for elsewhere in this Article 25.

That's because you dont know my QOL. You have no clue about the "lifestyle" we have.

How many AA pilots are Group 4 lineholders with 20 days off after 3 years? We have them, you dont.

And you know I've been commenting on AAGs financials way before I left Voy. I live in a huge AA base. And I chose not to work for them because my QOL and pay are so much higher elsewhere.

Yeah being reserve sucks. Thankfully you dont have to do that. I like my 140hr line guarantees. I will make 240k in my first full year. Wish you could do that at AA.
