I know a bunch too. I also know a bunch who are not planning to leave. For me, Atlas works better. Horses for courses.
This whole idiom that legacy airlines are the ultimate goal for every pilot is just a bit outdated. We have captains making 500k+/year who are gone from home 10 nights a month. Plenty of FOs hitting 300k with similar QOL. And flying fully augmented LH is the easiest job in the world.
There are plenty of pilots here who are happy, and who have no reason or aspiration to jump ship. I have higher career earnings at Atlas than I would at AA for example. We are also treated like adults, without a need to send an M51 every time we block out 1 minute late, or when a gate agent tries to ding a delay on the pilots. I'm too old to ever see a WB at AA, flying to Tulsa for the rest of my career for less money is not an attractive proposition for me. I know it's hard to fathom for some, but that's just a raw fact.

And wtf is a M51 message. You’re conflating your time at Eagle with American dude. Lol are you the type of guy who says he quit American to go to Atlas?

If you're happy at Atlas, cool! But if you're so happy over there, why the need to camp out in the AA forums all the time? Live your good Atlas life and leave it at that. Same goes for ECD and Spirit. I don't see AA pilots living in the Atlas and Spirit forums chitting on your airline all day. Move on already, the AA obsession is a bit much.
I try not to post on here (APC) but I like to keep up on the rumor’s and this is the place to do it.
I am in complete agreement with you Mr. Rroku.
Mr Dera; you left one of the WO’s and found time off and money on another path. That is wonderful and it seems to me that you are very happy with your decision. Maybe it’s time to enjoy that decision and not look back.
To a small extent I enjoy the financial analysis of you Mr. Excargodog and Mr. Dera. I like data for data’s sake. You both make good arguments and appear to have a solid grasp of corporate debt and the downstream implications of the inflation and interest scissors that appear to be coming. I’m not sure how AA is going to get out of this particular pickle either. There is a greater then 50% chance that your predictions will be accurate the way I see it. I sincerely hope we are wrong!!
But good grief; unless you are shorting the stock and the data is a byproduct of those efforts then what is the point?? Trying to convince stranger’s on the Internet of ANYTHING is a fools errand. To come over here and urinate on the rank and file Joe’s and Jane’s with your endless graph’s and predictions (all quite possibly accurate) is something I find hard to grasp. My question would be “what’s in it for you”.
No need to respond to that question because I don’t care that much. I’m embarrassed for getting into this particular circus in the first place. I really should know better!!
I flowed to AA. I’m very new. So far everyone has been wonderful. Inconceivably kind and supportive to be honest!!. I’m sure the shine will wear off at some point but perhaps it won’t?? I’m very happy with my decision to be here. Maybe some of you could enjoy your choices as well??
But convincing anyone of anything on the Internet is for fools!! Lol!!
That’s my semi annual post on here so if anyone wants to argue about it don’t hold your breath. Have a great evening or morning wherever you are and who ever you are!!

what is an M51? I’ve never been to Tulsa. I can count on one hand how many times I’ve been called on a delay in 8 years as a CA. 10yr 777 CA pay at Atlas is the same as AA 737 CA. Your 401k is way less. This is your new contract compared to our 2019 expired contract. What was the attraction at the time you went there? Big SJS?
401K is way less? No, I count a 10% deduction on my salary and by my numbers, I put in 22%. Last I checked, I have higher 401K contribution than my peers at AA. This is math and you seem to suck at it.
And why do you care about 10yr CA pay? I can make WB CA pay at 5 years.

Holy cow you have a bone to pick. This is just you trying to convince yourself that you made the right choice. Non of us give a hoot! That’s what you’re not getting. We really don’t care. Scurry on back to the Atlas section and have at it discussing with your pals how much better atlas is than the majors. We will not follow you over I promise.
And wtf is a M51 message. You’re conflating your time at Eagle with American dude. Lol are you the type of guy who says he quit American to go to Atlas?

"Non (sic) of us give a hoot!". Clearly you do, given that you have not actually responded to a single thing I have commented on here, apart from your pathetic slurs. Insecure much?
I believe this is the section to discuss issues about American. This thread is about discussing AAGs finances. That's what I was doing. You haven't contributed to that at all.
Shows what kind of a person you are.

Another ad hominem, I guess that's all you can do.

You've never been to Tulsa? Good for you. It is pretty consistent on your PBS awards. I can even tell you the hotel you stay at if you want?

Especially when it was your reply to something completely irrelevant to this thread.
Short memory you have.

How nice would it be, if we could discuss these items without petty attacks and feeling like we have to take every argument personally, which is what everyone here did.
Seems too hard for the AActivists here I guess.

By the way I just want to thank you for choosing to go to Atlas and not flow. One thing we’ll agree on is that flow does get a lot of folks through with serious blemishes and skeletons in their closets. You spared us all of at least one such jack*ass that I’ll never have to fly with.
