You guys are completely delusional if you think your scheme will work.

I think Cujo and Magnus need to Thunderdome to settle once and for all who's right. The rest of us have moved on. In my jump seat all will be welcome and it will be first come first served.

Ah so AA won’t have a problem when a Spirit pilot bumps us from your jumpseat and delays one of their flights but if the Spirit pilot bumps you from our jumpseat then AA will be up in arms, funny how that works…. i’m sure AA will be relieved to know the Spirit pilot got to work though 😂

Nawwww, I'm just having fun debating at this point. Doesn't effect me. I travel positive space.

He's entitled to his opinion, even as misguided as it is. LOL

Feel free to explain the delay to your CP that you were fighting over the AA gate agent following AA boarding priority on an AA flight.

Hey Cujo, it’s the Captains Jumpseat, it doesn’t belong to anyone else. This is why I’m soooooo grateful you are no longer with any JS committee. You can’t even except that simple concept.

That would be a hallmark of a terrible CP.

It wasn't that long ago, in the early part of my career, that only AA pilots could ride in an AA jumpseat. And IIRC Delta had the same policy. So, even though the captain can refuse all but the special listed few from a jumpseat ride, it's actually the company's jumpseat.

It’s the captain’s jumpseat only after the gate agent sends someone down to ask for it. The captain can then say yes or no to that person, but they don’t get to select who gets to ask. If the agent doesn’t clear a person for the jumpseat, you can’t take them. That is the simple concept that needs to be excepted.
