If JS agreements need to be changed, other non rev agreements should be looked at also.

your JS agreement is not reciprocal, they want an industry standard reciprocal jump seat agreement. You appear to be under the impression they want something crazy. I don’t get it.

Under your union’s proposal, a RAH pilot commuting to operate a Delta connection flight could bump a Delta pilot off an AA jumpseat.
When you guys talk about a reciprocal agreement, remember that you agreed to it and that good people honor agreements - even if they are actively petitioning a change.

Okay, what about AS and B6 since they fly our pax (and vice versa) via codeshare?

In your example, as a DL pilot, the republic pilot should go ahead of me. He/she may be flying DL this week but odds are much higher they will fly an AA flight this month than I will
DL places contract carrier pilots (skywest/republic) ahead of AA pilots on a DL jump seat

FFD and codeshare are not the same...

I get you used to work at one of those companies so you have personal reasoning, but that’s crazy.
If agreed to, it looks like we’d probably lose priority on every other airline.....
And this would get way less attention if RAH pilots didn’t deny jumpseaters when they don’t get what they want.

So RAH pilots deserve priority on every major their company operates for, even though they probably only fly jets for one brand 99% of the time?

yes, I did work at a regional (as most civilians do) and this is the industry norm outside AA.
yes they should have higher priority than OAL on your JS (but lower than WO). if they are commuting on your metal, they are probably flying your colors at work a good portion of their flights.
it should cost AA nothing to give an industry standard jump seat agreement, and might even save some $$ if your regional feed has improved performance. The only reason I can think of to oppose this is to spite FFD pilots. Remember UA and DL already do this, no one will push back on you allowing FFD carriers 1 tier higher priority than OAL
EDIT: I did not think they were denying the JS to AA pilots, just not placing you above OAL as you currently are. (The root of their non reciprocal part of their complaint)

One of those airlines, as in a dci regional. That’s what I meant and you know that. Over half our new hires come from a regional background.
Yes, they have denied commuters the jumpseat when they don’t get they want. That’s why this thread starter predicted a battle.
No one will push back on us? They already are.....
“numerous other MECs and independent unions have filed letters of protest to this change being sought by the Republic pilots.” “We have received multiple letters of protest from labor leaders – representing pilots from Southwest, JetBlue, Alaska, Hawaiian, and others – stating that they will consider proposing a change to their priority if this AA jumpseat priority change is made.”
But sure, all because we’re spiteful. If anyone is spiteful because of their tactics, I’d say it’s deserved though.

Half your new hires may come from regionals, but most of those came from WOs and only have flown the AA system. Just saying they probably have not seen the details of other operations.
if AA’s stance was RAH above OAL on AA and AA above OAL on AAC Republic I could respect that
if AA’s stance was RAH is offline on AA and AA is OAL on RAH I could respect that.
but AA’s stance is your union/company demands upgraded priority on republic but refuse to extend that same priority to Republic pilots. That’s the rub. The fact you demand this is where the spiteful comment came from, you demand something you are unwilling to reciprocate and look down on those trying to get a fair deal.
to your quote, all those airlines treat AA, UA, and DL pilots the same. UA and DL already offer priority to their regional pilots, do you think they would treat AA different or that that is anything but a “please don’t because we don’t want that”?
If your union is so concerned about preserving all OAL as the same, they should have no problem lowering AA/WO pilots to OAL status on Republic.
