There. I said it. At Frontier and Spirit you can pretty much drop down to zero. Good luck trying that here.

Totally agree. But the more senior I get with 1/2 days I’ve been able to get them picked up much easier than 4 days. But if you’re less than 50% you ain’t gonna drop much...

Agree about DOTC/RAS, it’s a dumpster fire. however, I’ve had pretty good luck with TTS when TTOT won’t let a trade go through.
Example, I had a 4 day trip earlier this month that I was trying to trade for a turn on the same day. TTOT basically busted out laughing saying “not in a million years, why are you wasting my time.” So I set up the trade on TTS with the exact sequence numbers and dang if it didn’t go through that night on the 8pm run. A 4 day for a turn! I shoulda played the lottery that day.

DOTC is definitely not user friendly, but those who have learned how to use it have made a killing in premium in my category the past few months. Premium and OG have gone really junior, in part because so many people refuse to use it or (more likely) don’t know how. I bet the company puts more effort into making it better as their manning shortfall exacerbates... they’ve had several instances of running out of reserves and nobody to give premium to on the DOTC list. Obviously, this is category dependent, YMMV, DYODD, etc.

Similar with TTS. It works well for the first few days after opening when everyone participates, and then it’s usefulness plummets as people stop. I’ve gotten some surprises later in the month with trades/drops going through that I forgot I had in there.

As for dropping your entire schedule.... you absolutely can do that. Done it multiple times. How easy it is to do depends on a host of factors- seniority, category, mil leave usage, etc. It’s tougher to do when junior, surprise. But it’s easier to just ***** and moan about how hard it is to drop your schedule, and then admit you’ve been out for a year and thus dropped your entire schedule....
