“No idea” isn’t accurate but point taken. Still sticking to my guns that the job isn’t as negative as it’s been made out to be in this particular thread. In the end it’s tough to beat a job you can drive to, that’s all I’m hoping for.

Ha! Good luck training them, along with upgrades, line checks, FO’s and Captains needing certain international quals, etc. AA management can say whatever they want and even go ahead and hire all those new pilots. Getting them checked out and flying the line is going to be so comical and sad to watch.

When they crank the hiring to 11 what that means is that pilots see the flow as pretty devalued and this leads to guys who are in the top quarter of the seniority list but still have several years to flow going to LCCs.

Can't speak to precisely how many have class dates elsewhere, but PSA only sends 10 pilots PER MONTH.

To those that show up and live in an exclusive AA base and value not commuting over being at a stable carrier, truly, congrats and welcome aboard, the APA app is your friend and has hundreds(maybe thousands) of pages of guides to help you navigate life at American as well as explain our worthless contract, that has STILL yet to be fully implemented. Yes, you read that right, much of the good stuff in our CBA(contract), the company has chosen NOT to implement, mainly because it benefits pilots. And there is nothing APA can do about it either. The APA compass documents will help to explain how to work within the contract, as well as point out all the things in the contract, you should not even bother reading, because they are still not implemented even 2 years PAST the expiration of our contract).
Management at this company, won’t even allow the pilots to benefit from the contract THEY forced on us, so don’t get your hopes up about them agreeing to a contract that we, the pilots, want.
