He knows Ed. He made the case of having DFW “group think” amongst the President and VP may not be the thing we want. He also thought Ed was a little more proactive for the pilots and was a little more willing to push the press to test with mgt.

We need a bulldog. Paying nice with AA so far has yielded negative results.

Not happy that Chris got elected but luckily the VP doesn’t do much.
If this show is being run my Rob and Chris, there is no doubt in my mind that we will just be in for more of the same ol. Never met either, but having flown with captains who flew with Chris, he is the furthest thing from anyone who wants to stir the pot. Contract knowledgeable, he’s top tier. But not willing to create waves for management (and what I perceive as a positioning himself for a future chief or VP)

My thoughts exactly. The group think problem is real, especially with DFW locals.

Yeah, most of Sams vote will go for Baker, simply based on Ed's campaign emails. Like I said before, and others as well,, Baker is a nice guy for sure, but he is NOT going to do anything but play soft toss with management, much like we have seen the past 3 years.
I want somone that wont play by the rules. Maybe that is what we actully need,to at a minimum, build some unity in our ranks. Ed is going to be like a bull in a china shop with APA and AA, and that is EXACTLY what I want.
But it does appear that Baker will win easily because we have so many pilots that just want to hear a person say the nice things in a nice way (kind of like Ferguson). That is a shame and insay that because Ed rubbed me the wrong way in the beginning too, mostly because of his off-base attacks against Pool, but it does not change the fact that he does indeed represent a sharp contrast the same ole same ole APA way of operating. Ed will **** a lot of people off, i just don't care anymore. I want a person that will actually DO something, NOT just SAY something. Words won't move the needle with AA management. Every day I seem to be more convinced that Ed will make the better president.

Then, management offered us a 4% pay raise. I’m happy to admit when I’m wrong, I’m voting for Ed.

I don’t get this “Chris likes management and won’t rock the boat” narrative at all. Have you bothered to read any of his DFW blasts? Watch his vacation bidding video? He DESPISES management. He thinks Chip is a clown. He’s also realistic in how screwed we all are under the RLA, and can actually read and write without throwing a tantrum like Ed.
If Ed wins, whatever. I just think his tantrums aren’t gonna get you what you think they will.
