Line holders generally have 14-16 days off. Sometimes you'll see 13 or 17. I'd like to see the average days off increase by one or two days. Probably my biggest complaint here is that you fly your a$$ off every month unless you can find a way to trade down or drop. I'd rather start at 74 hours and 17 days off, then add as needed. A lower MALV cap would help.

We do have stats published showing average days off depending on base and plane.

Are those readily available? I assume that the spread of seniority will play a significant role in the data.

well obviously seniority plays a role. But these are averages. Why worry about what the top 10 percent are getting? The numbers paint a picture of how efficient the trip pairings are in each base.

Are you an AA pilot? The APA scheduling committee has a bunch of stuff on their webpage. You can email the committee… if you’re looking for something specific they might be able to mine the data for you. They’re pretty helpful.

Thanks, that's exactly what I was looking for. I had no idea all that info was on APA

Immediately? If it’s not offered in your class i’d imagine you can swap there quickly. It’s not exactly a highly sought after plane or base.
