Top Men are claiming that 401k and pay effective date at date of hire are in APA’s updated proposal. One Top Man claims the ask even includes retro for those particular items.

Top Men were correct. Both 401k at date of hire and change to new hire pay effective date are both in APA’s updated proposal. See latest Negotiations Update.

Encouraging news if actually true. I think that APA doesn't have to use any negotiating capital for this as AA realizes how quickly quality applicants are running out and it will be a war between the top Airlines for the best candidates.
