junior Captain might drop to 11/12 years next year’s summer bid is my guess. Average about 9% of guys hit age 65 each year over next many years. They are very senior so some might chase the widebodies especially if/when LAX flying comes back. Over 30% can hold DFW 787 on last bid so I feel like most are happy where they are at.

PHX FO can be got in under a year

If ending back up in PHX was my goal, what would you reccomend I bid for during training? Any 320 base then hope to transfer to PHX when the vacancy bid comes out? Thanks for your help

yes, bid for the equipment you want for the base you want. Meaning. If you want phx bid equipment that is in phx. So if that means taking a lga 320 slot. Do that , otherwise when that chance of a mutual base exchange via different equipment is near rare, to get to phx a320. Also bid each vacancy for phx and you can hold it it’s yours. Now if you bid 737 some base cause you decide it’s an easier commute or somthing and bid the vacancy to a320 phx. You can get it awarded but They can withhold your training event to change equipment for up to 12 months. Which is highly likely because new hires are the priority. Not an equipment change. So you could potentially wait another 12 months to get the base you want. So if base and wuipment is not available at the time of your new hire vlass
drop. Then you need to bid the equipment that is in your base. For places like Miami or dfw etc that has both 737 and Airbus. Doesn’t matter. You can make it in either plane. But phl and phx. Only have the bus. I recommend you bid for the bus. It’s your fastest path back to base.

Domestic and international. Not really what it seems though. It's basically over water or not.

After Indoc, how long do you get sent home for till the sims open up for your training? Specifically on the 320. Attempting to plan our summer out. I’ll be an early May basic indoc.

Flew with a new guy and said they’ve caught up a bunch, wait is down to 2-3 weeks

Finished indoc March 7th. Go back for ground/sims April 7th.

The 737 had a longer wait. They go back April 23rd

Is there a class on for tomorrow? If so, did the class drop come out?

No classes this week due to the major holiday of DST. No set time when drops come out. The requirement is at least the day before so people have time to come up with a strategy to bid, which takes place your first day. But most of the time it comes out sooner then that.
