No classes this week due to the major holiday of DST. No set time when drops come out. The requirement is at least the day before so people have time to come up with a strategy to bid, which takes place your first day. But most of the time it comes out sooner then that.

Thanks for this.

Is there any flexibility in this? We were planning min 4 weeks. If it ends up 2, I need to make some adjustments with travel plan.

No, but you can adjus your bid if you need longer time. When you get the bid list on the first day, each slot shows your estimated training start. Some are sooner than others and can vary up to two or three weeks. If you really need that time off you can bid for the longest break after INDOC. Although you may not get the base or aircraft that you want, but that is up to you to decide what is more important. I highly doubt they will give you a longer paid break if you request it. Although I have heard of people requesting and getting earlier class dates. I think they put you on a list and you get a call if a slot opens up.

Thank you for all of the great information. Any word on new hire training for the bus in Phoenix? I heard that simulators were moved there.

My guess is highly unlikely for new hire training in PHX
