Junior guys, hope you like working 85 hours these summer months. Someday you'll be senior, son.

I’d be cooler with it if I knew for a fact the older guys weren’t gonna find a way to pull up the ladder before they retire.

I heard from a really trustworthy source that Trump is gonna sign an EO for age 67. And by trustworthy I mean a photo of a screen (not a screenshot) showing text conversation/e-mail… and then about 50 more photos of personal airplanes, boats, rental properties and flight attendant nudies. Real life stuff man.

AA pilots are funny, reserves be like: 85 hrs is way too much work! Lineholders be like: the company should let us pick up to 130 hrs every month!

This is reductive. Those lineholders have some say in the quality of the trips and an ability to acclimate for them while the former, at least last year, got some hope that a rough trip would credit enough to give a day to breathe. It isn’t that way now when a 3-4-3 trip can be followed immediately by something similar but on the other side of the clock. It’s noticeably more complicated than claiming “85 < 130!”

Any reservist strategy is to overbook they are an idiot. If you don't know the difference between a lineholder and somebody on reserve right now then you're in the wrong biz.

Lol wut? I’m on reserve and have been for most of my AA career, still made over $500k last year and flew 600 block hours so I think I’m in the right biz bro.

600/yr on reserve is mind boggling

It’s also an extreme outlier

Well if he did 500k I'm guessing at least 200 of that is PR.

Even if it wasn't, ~50 hours/month is about what I fly on reserve on average except in my first year here when everyone was making $35/hr so they just had people sitting around sucking our thumbs.

people like to exaggerate and lie a lot on message boards. Im sure if he allowed us to dig into his last 12 H1s we would find out he left out a lot of details.
