This announcement dropped the overall CLT 777 FO number to 167, down from like 197 from three months ago. Wonder why.

The only thing I’m hoping to read from these tea leaves is some solid movement at all levels with WB advertised to open up more outside of just LGA as we had been seeing — more senior people taking the bait opening up more downstream.
Don’t know about your DCA example but 2 years ago I became a super junior LAX 73 CA when a bunch of senior LAX CA left the bid status for WB. 25 made LAX 73 CA with 10 in the announcement. Goes to your point that the Vac Announcement doesn’t tell all and it’s often the WB movement that decides what really happens.

We have 20-30 more 737s on property but the total CA numbers expected on the airframe are basically the same as a year ago. The more you try to analyze it, the more you realize it's smoke and mirrors.
17.G.2.a and 17.G.2.b…the company cannot undershoot by more the 20%. If they undershoot then pilots will receive entitlements. If the deviate by more the +/- 20% the have to provide APA with a reason report (for whatever that is worth).

In 2019 they had zero LGA737INTCA positions posted, they awarded like 30.

Apparently a lot of guys are ****ed about going to LGA320INTCA and are going to bid back to domestic this vacancy.

The 320 LGA/I status isn’t even up and running yet so I don’t really buy that.

literally from their own mouthes. Didnt say they were smart or logical in bidding for it in the first place… i found how senior it went, completely baffling

the 2019 thing was 737, if you missed that detail

Not baffling at all. Senior bubbas want in to get the AE qual, then get bought off and double dip.

Theoretically, maybe. But like the number 1 guy is happy doing and transcons, and believed (based on zero information), that he would still get to do them, with an occasional trip to europe. Probably wrong there… Another was surprised by the “shortness” of the layover in EDI. Apparently they didnt bother to look at other fleet’s trip construction…

The LGA 320CA/I bid packs haven’t even been published yet and won’t be for months… what kind of EDI layovers and Europe/domestic mix did they expect?

The announcement of EDI is literally the only info that has changed since the initial awards, and that was pretty predictable. You wonder how people make decisions sometimes...
