Theoretically, maybe. But like the number 1 guy is happy doing and transcons, and believed (based on zero information), that he would still get to do them, with an occasional trip to europe. Probably wrong there… Another was surprised by the “shortness” of the layover in EDI. Apparently they didnt bother to look at other fleet’s trip construction…

Why would they have trouble getting out? They can bid LGA/D or any other base on any vacancy. They aren’t seat locked into the 320LGA/I bid status. Pilots will bid in to get the AE qual, then bid back to another base and MO pickup a few Europe trips here and there.

How do they know the transcons will stay domestic and not go international? Looks like 320 LGA international is going to have a lot of staffing, so must be more than just the EDI flights. Looks like FO went very junior and they posted 50 more vacancies...might be worth commuting for
