For those hired in like 2012-2013, upgrade was going to be really quick. Basically all of US-E retired in that time frame.

Just looked it up, you're right it was ~$160, not $180. Ouch!

the real real 3rd listers were the Midatlantic crews that briefly flew the E170s before they got outsourced to Republic. They were considered an alter ego USairways carrier and violated scope and had to fight to get on the seniority list, post AWE merger.

then after them the 2007-2013 hires were added to the 3rd list. Also thought that the merger announcement in late January 2013 was when the SLI snapshot was taken for the 4 lists being made into one with AA. Everyone after that in 2013 went DOH. I remember the late 2013/early 2014 LAA newhire arguing to be put senior to the January 2013 LUS… with 1000 guys still bypassing furlough at LAA…
Wasn't midatlantic just the furloughed east guys? They were transferred to Republic IIRC under jets4jobs weren't they? I think during the merger East tried to argue they were on the seniority list, which they were, but furloughed circa 2001 when Airways went from 6000 pilots to 3000.

I had forgotten what a ****show that was.

I kept all the sli proposals, revisions, and etc. from all three committees.

I believe the snapshot wasn't taken until November 2013 due to the DOJ litigation.

Didn't that person write a letter? Is that the one I'm thinking of, and didn't they move into a management position and is now a 777 CKA?

yeah, the letter sounds familiar. It was comical. APA’s SLI proposal wasnt much better but was mostly disregarded at the bottom of the list. Poor TWA guys got the rough treatment once again

I have never once turned down a captain offering to do the walk around, as rarely as it occurs.

I'm a captain and I love walk arounds but it seems the fos get the vest out before we even get to the door of the airplane. I'm also 40....I know the 58-65 group was different before I moved over.

That being said if the weather is bad....sorry man. Perks

I’ve had a few CAs tell me they are 50/50 on walk-arounds.

They’ll do them unless it’s below 50*F or there’s a 50% chance of rain. Got a chuckle from that.

In all seriousness if I’m on a 3-day they’ll usually offer to do the walk any time they are PM. Younger guys especially.

I’ve had the opposite experience. Maybe 1-2 times a quarter the captains we do the walk around.

Perks for sure, but also Ill give it to the homage, respect, whatever you want to call it. Its just me personally, but Im the FO, we are a team, but Im there to back you up and make the boss' job easier. I get the trash, I do the trays, all that little stuff. Cheesy I know, but I dont think the CA should be cleaning up.

Standing by for spears haha. Have a good weekend everyone.
