How is that pesky parking brake bleed down looking???

I wouldn't get near AA right now, Passenger's that buy a ticket on them deserve what they get...

AMR Management asked for it and they got it......
Well AA was in the world news the other night about their performance. It was quoted by the reporter that the APA has not indicated that this is "organized."

I spit my beer out through my nose after that remark!

Thumbs down

It should be no surprise you screw the Pilots and they will screw you back.....

Pretty much any Pilot can ground any plane at anytime no MX is perfect and judging from all the recent FAA fines AMR's Suck's...

A Pilot in the normal course of their job keep the operation running on time. If they do Their job and only Their job the operation does not run as smooth as it normally should...

I guess AMR's Suck AA$$ management is now getting what they pay for...

Oh well, I hope their bonus money doesn't get blazed..

This is a true statement. The Union has said roughly - "Illegal job actions will not be tolerated; don't do them."

The media and public is ignoring the maintenance side of this problem. Even before BK, maintenance was on a shoestring. Now that BK is reality, the feds are everywhere, poking their noses into the operation, especially the cockpit/maintenance interface, and how mechanicals are dealt with.

Obviously, no pilot is going to risk his ticket by accepting a jet that has maintenance issues that require attention.

Everything that has happened in the last few weeks is nothing more than pilots being exceptionally careful and conservative. This is a good thing. Follow the FARs, you cannot go wrong.

If you were one of 11,000 employees (mostly maintainers) that got a pink slip in the mail saying you will likely lose your job in the next 3 months, what do you think those employees will do? And none of those pink slip recipients were pilots. Is it possible that those scheduled to be cut will lack motivation?

AMR expects about 4,400 job cuts, warns 11,000 - Yahoo! Finance

If the Air Force told you that you've been RIF'd at the 15 1/2 year point, how would you react?

The fact Alfa thinks most delta pilots were hired after 2006 should negate any past or future opinions.

To be fair, he stated "on this board."

I wasn't aware you could see company hire dates. Where do I find this information. Or maybe he was assuming; which is always a great idea that intelligent people always abide to.

I don't think a majority on this board are hired post 07, but it is a high representation. You're new here- he's been around a while and has a feel for who is who on the board.

I see you're jumping on the assumption train. I'm not 'new' here. Been trolling for a couple years. Just bored enough to chime in tonight. And that's exactly what he said. But good rebuttals! But not really....lets not turn this post into a two man argument. I'd like to keep reading informed opinions and information.

You want me to go down and list the approximate DOH and position of each of the regulars on here? Because I can for most of them...
